Auggie Fontanilla
Auggie Fontanilla is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Fine Arts. He also serves as a member of the Faculty of Asia Pacific college, teaching Multimedia design. Auggie’s artistic practice is heavily inspired and informed by Filipino visual culture. He portrays the idiosyncrasies of Filipino identity through his pseudo morbid aesthetic approach. His roots can be traced back to his days of graffiti and sticker slapping. He also draws inspiration from icons of Tattoo culture, Americana, gangs and prison emblems. He also keeps a journal of drawings reminiscent of old school tattoo flashes.
